The 74th Anniversary Oldmeldrum Sports & Highland Games will take place on

Good afternoon to you. Welcome to the 74th Oldmeldrum Sports & Highland Games. To officially open the Sports today we have a well respected local journalist who has worked at the Press & Journal for over 30 years.

To entertain you today we have the "Sponge Plunge", "Dezibel" Samba Drummers and the "X-Treme Trials Display Team (details to follow). Also making a welcome return to entertain you throughout the weekend, "Cheeko the Clown". There are Pipe Bands performing throughout the day, climaxing in the grand Massed Pipe Bands to finish the afternoon's programme.

Welcome to all athletes and competitors in the various competitions - we wish them success in their chosen event.

Once again we are greatly indebted to the numerous volunteers who work so hard during the preceding week and through the weekend of the Sports. Their dedication goes a long way to make everything run so well. Finally, acknowledgement to our sponsors whose generosity makes this day possible in the present format.

Once again thank you for coming along today and we hope you have an enjoyable afternoon.
