Looking for Gill

A recent visitor to this website from Canada is looking for details of his father, James John Gill, who was born in Oldmeldrum in 1890. He emigrated to Canada in 1912, settling in the west of the country. Michael Corcoran of New Zealand has this request...

"I wish to enquire / advertise for anyone who is a descendant of or who can offer me information on John S Bain of Scoutbog Oldmeldrum.  John was a breeder of Clydesdales and in 1923 at least exported a Clydesdale Stallion to Southland New Zealand. Any contact information would be appreciated. This is a family history enquiry - for the bloodline of the horse - even horses had families!"
